As a queer-owned business based in the Bible Belt, we have faced our share of challenges.
I have been practicing tarot for over four years, and that journey has grown into a deeper exploration of oracle reading, numerology, astrology, and other forms of divination.
My path into this work is personal. My dad often told me that a fulfilling life needs four pillars: physical health, mental health, a support system, and spirituality. I have lived with severe major depressive disorder for almost my entire life, and, when I felt at my lowest, I turned to tarot almost as a way to challenge his belief that spirituality or religion would help me. He turned out to be right, which he still holds over me jokingly. Tarot and trusting the universe helped me find a sense of purpose and a sense of trust in the paths unfolding around me. It was not the only thing that supported my healing, but it played an important role.
